In order to distinguish the referee team from the players, the referee team must wear the same colour soccer referee uniforms. The uniforms must be different from the player’s uniforms.

Some recreational and volunteer organisations provide uniforms for their referees. However, you may want to purchase your own as you progress in your refereeing career.

Referee jerseys are available in different colours, sizes, and styles. If you live in a cold climate or referee a lot of games in the evenings, you may want to consider long-sleeved shirts as well.
